Rajasthan wasn't an awareness problem. Amber Fort, Jaisalmer, Udaipur — these don't need brand advertising. The problem was that every traveller inspired by Rajasthan was being caught and monetised by someone else.

The context

India's tourism sector accounts for 7.5% of GDP. Rajasthan is one of the world's most iconic travel destinations. And yet every traveller it inspired was converting through MakeMyTrip, Booking.com, or an OTA — platforms that captured the commercial relationship while the state provided the emotional content.

The insight

Most digital tourism projects solve the wrong problem. They build websites. Rajasthan needed a discovery engine.

The gap between inspiration and booking is where destinations lose travellers to intermediaries. Own that gap — from the first moment of curiosity to the confirmed arrival — and you own the traveller.

The second insight: a traveller asking an AI agent to plan a heritage trip through Rajasthan should receive an itinerary populated from official sources, routing to the state's own platform. That requires the platform to be AI-legible, richly structured, and deeply cited — from day one.

What we built

Integrated web, app, and PWA ecosystem. AR/VR experiences for Amber Fort, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, and the heritage circuit — turning digital discovery into irreversible desire before a flight is booked.

Direct operator-to-traveller booking layer removing the OTA intermediary for local experiences. Rich, narrative-led travel guides structured for AI citation and indexed by both search engines and AI systems.

The impact

Unified visitor journey across all digital touchpoints for the first time in the state's tourism history. Immersive pre-trip experience competitive with international destination marketing budgets. Direct operator relationships reducing OTA dependency. A platform designed to grow in authority — with search engines and AI engines alike — the longer it runs.
